“We are lucky to be minorities in India.” | Romario Norman | #108WordEdit

In an interview with Citti Media, Anglo-Indian artist Romario Norman shares his experience of being a minority in two different countries: India and Afghanistan. His learning of the discriminant treatment meted out to Sikhs, Christians and Hindus in Afghanistan fundamentally altered his perspective of being a minority in India. He further added that the declining number of minorities in Pakistan and Afghanistan is a reflection of the nature of their societies.

Indian democracy exuberates not just tolerance, but the embracing of every faith, ethnicity, community and creed. Watch this Citti Media current affairs talk with Romario Norman to better understand the contrast between Afghanistan and Pakistan on the one hand, and India on the other.
