Indian woman to pilot one of the world’s most advanced fighter jets

Flt. Lt. Shivangi Singh is training to fly the Indian Air Force's advanced 4.5+ generation fighter, the Dassault Rafale.

Flt. Lt. Shivangi Singh is soon to become one of the only women in the world to fly an advanced 4.5+ generation fighter, the Indian Air Force’s Dassault Rafale. And this is not a one-off expeditionary flight. Flying the formidable Rafale will become her day job. One of Singh’s first assignments is likely to be on the Indo-China border, were tensions have flared up over recent PLA incursions into Indian-patrolled areas along the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh.
